The challenge

A student-resource directory concept needed to make useful services easier to find. I focused on the experience of someone who knows their problem but does not know the name of the office that can help.

My contribution

Search interface and content-model concept

The decisions

I grouped resources by need and made every filter visible above the results. The clear-filters action restores the full list. A no-results state suggests removing a filter and keeps contact information accessible.

The evidence

The proposed interface combines topic filters, result summaries, and a direct next action. The accessibility checklist includes labeled controls, visible focus, text alternatives, and results announced after filtering.

The outcome

I produced the directory structure and search-state designs. A real release would need content-owner review, keyboard and screen-reader checks, and a process for keeping hours and contact details current.

Limits and next steps

A directory is only useful if the information is both findable and maintained.

The next conversation

Let’s make something useful.
